I hope most people already know about Indian Fifth Generation Fighter Aircraft Project. So, I won't give so many details, read Wikipedia.:D
[IMG]Left: LCA Right: AMCA design seems to be heavily drawn but larger fuselage due to twin engine, so medium category.[IMG][IMG]

After India's experience with the Tejas developing their own fully indigenous plane should not be a big issue as long as there was a lot of cooperation with foreign companies when developing the pieces used in the Tejas. Unfortunately from what I understand a lot of the systems were bought off the shelf and not really co developed so that concerns me for India's 5th gen project.

Few years ago, because indigenous projects were delayed. Now, Tejas 59% indigenous by weight and 75% by numbers.
India produces 81 out of 94 missile technologies of MTCR.
For most recent, India has nearly operationalized it's BVRAAM Astra.

Wait for evening, a series of tests is underway currently.
