translation: As early as next year, Russia will be able to offer the newest anti-aircraft missile systems (SAMs) S-350E "Vityaz", developed with the participation of South Korea. They are more compact and cheaper than the S-400, but they have all the capabilities of the S-300 and yet can stand up for themselves in close combat without the additional cover of "Shells" or "Torahs". Experts predict that after the completion of testing and adoption of the "Vityaz" will squeeze out the complexes of the family "Buk" on foreign markets.
Concern Almaz-Antey presented an export version of the latest domestic air defense complex S-350 Vityaz at the forum Army-2017. As Deputy Director General for Foreign Economic Affairs Vyacheslav Dzirkaln said, before the end of this year.

Algeria has been buying some major weapons from Russia such as a contract for the TOS-1A, Mi-28s. The S-350 might be used to replace or supplement older SAMs currently in Algerian service. @Alpha could inform us a little more on Algeria's interest in the S-350

The S-350 maybe acquired later in future because we have to replace S-125, S-200 etc. currently Algerian air defense is replacing KUB SAMs with TORs and BUKs and we are bought S-300PMU2 and have interest in acquiring the S-400. S-350 will most likely be a MRSAM booster you know. I can only see S-350 replacing S-200, S-125.
air defense which is part of air force command, Air Force is looking at buying SU-35 (24) and in future we have strong potential purchase of SU-57

    1. we would purchase the 4 batteries of S-400, in which 1 battery would be station near our coastal area along with our future Bastion coastal launchers and 2 batteries of S-400 would be by at the Morocco-Algeria border and 1 would be retained in capital.

    2. S-350 would be gap filler between our Long-Range SAMs and Low Range SAMs, supplementing the S-300PMU2 and S-400 and we have consideration to buy Sosna. S-350 would also be acquired to counter the recent acquirement of Morocco's Sky Dragon 50

    3. Antey-2500 is being acquired to strengthen our airspace more or less no specific reason behind it's purchase aside from the growth of our air defense.

    4. Algeria will buy 1 HQ-9 Battery (9 launchers) which is being acquired to help us gain an advantage over Morocco, it's purchasing is a political move to sway China from selling Morocco the HQ-9

seems like Algeria is really bolstering a major air defence modernization but why? it does not seem any of your neighboring countries pose that good of a threat? the only air force even close to having near the aircraft in service is France.
