The United States has deployed four F-22 Raptor aircraft to South Korea in a show of force after North Korea's recent rocket launch.

The fighter aircraft, arguably the most advanced in the world, flew from Kadena Air Base in Japan to South Korea.

Before landing at the Osan Air Base they conducted a flyover in the vicinity of the border with the communist North.

Joined by US and South Korean Air Force F-15 Slam Eagles and F-16 Fighting Falcons, the 12 aircraft formation was a direct response to recent provocative action by Kim Jong Un's regime.

Last month the partner nations conducted a similar show of solidarity and power by flying a mission with a B-52 bomber accompanied by 16 fighter jets.

China is claiming to have confronted an F-22 in its ADIZ:

In the video they claim they never VID'd the aircraft though, just got close enough to see it on radar. Still, if true it's not exactly a major intelligence boon for China. With drop tanks, A2A rails and Lunberg lenses, Chinese radars would need to be blind not to see these Raptors coming. They wanted to be noticed:

    Nice catch.
Also they were flying in formation with non stealth aircraft. I think technofox's analysis is spot on.

    Awesome pose at 2:00 :0-:
