This means that France will operate overall,101 NH90s. (74 for the Army and 27 for the Navy.)
Another (bigger) order is expected in the future to replace the remaining Puma helicopters of the army.

France has ordered six more NHIndustries NH90 Caïman tactical transport helicopters (TTH), it was announced on 7 January.

The order will increase the number of NH90s ordered to replace the French Army Light Aviation's (ALAT's) ageing Pumas to 74. The increase in NH90 numbers was included as part of a modification to the French defence programming law (LPM) set out in April 2015.
