    On the 30 of September,France successfully fired an M51 SLBM missile,which is the first test and success of the missile after it failed and self destructed itself in 2013. We learned from this fail (Better to fail in a test than in a real situation),and now the missile has been successfully tested.

    By 2016,a new version of this missile called M51.2(which has a better range,new stealth warheads and a better capacity of penetration) will be deployed on our submarines.
    Our Maginot 51 is ready. :)

    Some parts of this missile are composed of Carbon fiber,good point.

    We are actually working on the replacment of the actual SNLE fleet;

    and the building of the first one could start in the 2020s to replace the SNLE Triomphant that will be withdraw from service in ~2030.

    These new SNLE will be equipped with a new version of the M51,the M51.3
