This is only natural, the Russians generally offer things at lower costs than the West and their land platforms are more suitable for Jungle warfare because they are lighter. A lot of their vehicles are also amphibious. When it comes to electronics, optics, etc. its best to buy from Western companies.

Maybe this time the Philippine Marine Corps can procure the BMP-3 to complement the AAVP that were ordered from South Korea and the currently operating LVTH-6.

And if possible, the Mi-28 could be added as choice for an attack helicopter as the PH Air Force is in need of a dedicated attack helicopters; the MD 520 Defender currently is the only thing the PH Air Force has as an attack helicopter.

The problem with Russia is that their equipment especially communications is not compatible with the US, an important ally of the Phillipines. By trying to adjust the Russian systems to current western standards employed by the Philippines could cost more.

I hope there is more Turkey-Phillipine cooperation in defense. We have NATO standard products at generally lower prices than other western countries. I think there is big potential in all fields. Turkish firms love to offer coproduction all of the time.

Well for the attack helicopter program, the Philippines is interested at the T129 ATAK.

Also, the PH Army did procure the ACV-15 (back then it was called "ACV-300"), thus any future procurement of the ACV-15 would be possible with defense relations between Philippines and Turkey, specially since the M113A2s procured from USA would be only used to transport troops while the M113A2s procured from Israel acting as fire support for the M113s and any future procurements of ACV-15 (particularly the heavily armed variants) would be used as heavy fire support roles, or even direct fire support against hostile units.

I do wonder if it is possible to mount the FV101's 76mm gun and turret onto the ACV-15 since the BMP-3 turret and gun was mounted onto the ACV-15...
