    MANILA, Philippines — The Philippine Air Force's first two units of the FA-50PH fighter jets took off from Sacheon, Korea to Clark Air Base in Pampanga on Friday morning.

    Metro Manila (CNN Philippines)The first two of a dozen fighter jets the Philippines ordered from South Korea arrived on Saturday (November 28), in a historic turnover that Defense Secretary Voltaire Gazmin described as the return of the Philippine Air Force (PAF) to the "supersonic age."

    The last PH Air Force supersonic combat aircraft was the Northrop F-5A/B "Freedom Fighter" which was retired from service back in 2005.

    Range of the FA-50 from different Airbases in the Philippines:
    Green=Clark AFB
    Blue=Antonio Bautista AFB
    Red=Rajah Buayan AFB

    The trip includes a return ticket home.The FA-50's range is 1150 miles so I just cut in half to come up with the above map radii.
