    Hello

I wonder if anyone here can help me.

A lady named Mary Jane made contact with me on the "Older Dating Agency" and when I responded she immediately suggested we resume contact via email, which we did. And then shortly after she suggested Google Hangout. Shortly afterwards her account on the dating agency was discontinued. We have been corresponding now since the 20th August.

She claims she is 56 years old and has been a nurse in the US Army for 30 years and is retiring in 7 weeks from the 6th September. She was living in Glasgow, Scotland, which was the birthplace of her mother. Her father was an American and she lived there until she joined the Army.

She was in Scotland when we made contact and told me she was being posted to Syria for her final tour.

I suggested we speak on the phone and she claimed she didn't have a sim card. I suggested she borrow a phone or use a public phone somewhere and she said she doesn't know anyone to borrow a phone from.

She said she would borrow a phone in Syria from someone she can trust but when she got there she told me a new rule had just been made that no one is allowed to use a phone for security reasons so for now we will have to carry on using Hangout. On her previous tours she claimed was able to phone her loved ones. She claims she is in a special unit and that's why this rule applies.

She claims she loves me and wants to come to my home straight from Syria to live with me permanently. I have suspected a scam from the start and am going along with it for the time being and have even told her I love her too.

She has sent me photos of herself and even one two days ago in her uniform.

She is still using Hangout in Syria.

She says she divorced 10 years ago and has a 26 year old son living in the US.

I haven't been able to figure out the scam yet, if indeed there is one. She hasn't asked me for any money; but why would she if she was about to retire on a Staff Sergeant's pension?

So what else could she possibly want from me?

There are good reasons to believe she is genuine and good reasons to assume she isn't, as you can see.

She is using a gmail address

I so want it to be true but I'm not a fool and would never send her any money. If she isn't genuine then I am curious to find out what she wants so will continue until I do.

I am well aware it may not be the girl in the photo I am corresponding with so that's why I am writing to you in the hope you can find out for me.

I would be very grateful for any help and advice.

    Kind regards

    Peter

Hey there Peter. Scams is big business in Europa and USA. Billion of dollars get lost every year. She can also be spy or intel person to. Just need be patience with here. I would go for skype talking and maybe facetime later. And make a judgment after that. If you are military person your self. Contact your military.

Thanks you for your reply BlueHawk.
I'm not in the military myself.

Buddy, first she asks you to send her money "for a ticket" (military private jet?) and then suddenly dies. Syria, buddy. Life's tough. :patrolling:
Use her, say YOU need money to be sure bal-blah-blah. Or drop it.
