    That's easily one of the best recruitment ads out there.

    And Part 2 isn't too shabby either:0::.

    Very well made, better than ours.

    An important part of our recruitment system is Hollywood. The military works very close with the film industry to show how cool the military is. The military also works with sports leagues like the NFL.

    Well role of military has been deliberately underplayed in India (except in times of war) and military kept insulated from civilians because ours is still a relatively new country and our founders decided to strengthen the civil system and polity at the expense of military because of multiple military coups in sister colonies in Pakistan, Burma and numerous other African and S. American countries. As such we are in a happy place where Armed forces are totally subservient to elected leaders and we have stable democracy functioning.

    The cache is that military is often neglected, de-glamorised (that's changing) and blamed for civilian incompetence. Political corruption, diversion of funds to welfare programs etc have led to Indian Armed Forces lacking crucial punch and dependent on imports. Things are on the mend though.

    There is also a disparity in pay structures of military and civilian bureaucrats and despite military undertaking hazard duties their pay is still less than that of their civilian counterparts, this combined with more lucrative career options in corporate sector often makes Military a second-choice employer and increasingly so
