''Helicopters of Russia'' intends to strengthen cooperation with Iran

The holding "Helicopters of Russia" intends to develop its cooperation with Iran after the lifting of sanctions against the country, general director Alexander Mikheyev said.

"The positions of the holding company in the market of the Middle East are traditionally strong. Today there are more than 500 military and civilian helicopters of Soviet and Russian production. The main part of the park is helicopters of the legendary series Mi-8/17. Their versatilities and high performance characteristics are known throughout world. More than 50 such machines are used in Iran," cite him as saying.

"We plan to strengthen business relations with partners in the Middle East and develop cooperation in the supply of modern helicopters, as well as its after-sales service and modernization,'' Mikheyev said.
