As the president of the Republic decided to increase army's size and to stop all the cuts, new regiments are either created or reactivated.
Today, the 5th Dragoon Regiment (in french 5e Régiment de Dragons) is officially reactivated after being disbanded in 2003.
It will be based in Mailly-Le-Camp in eastern France. As a result, more than 1100 newly recruited soldiers will join this regiment. This decision will help the local economy as 600 families are planning to move there.

Norway has existed since 5,000 B.C. when future Vikings showed up in Oslofjord and formed the first settlements in Scandinavia. After that, during the migration period of 300-800 AD, Vikings began to show up. The Vikings, hailed from Denmark and Norway primarily, while a handful centered in Sweden.

Norway was first unified into a singular kingdom in 872, so yeah, we've been around for a while:D.
