As vertical lift transport systems become more widespread in the US military soldiers will be able to go on risky operations deep in danger zones. Resupply is always a concern because normal forces that are responsible for resumption are vulnerable.

If a group of soldiers is in a terrorist hell whole then resupy will be impossible without risking many lives. With unmanned helicopters this risk is lifted.
