As vertical lift transport systems become more widespread in the US military soldiers will be able to go on risky operations deep in danger zones. Resupply is always a concern because normal forces that are responsible for resumption are vulnerable.

If a group of soldiers is in a terrorist hell whole then resupy will be impossible without risking many lives. With unmanned helicopters this risk is lifted.

Guys future vertical lift is the replacement program for Blackhawks, Kiowas, Chinooks etc.

The unmanned transport helicopter is a completely different program. Helicopters like the Sikorsky's Raider are competing for the Future Vertical Lift contract to replace the Black hawk.
