If you could fly one combat air craft which would it be?
I would fly the Mig-21. They say that it is very agile, very easy to control.

What combat aircraft I'd like to fly (and a bonus trivia piece at the end)

    American - B-1B Lancer

    I just love its look

    International - Tornado

High speed at low levels. Sign me up!

International user, but American gear - F-14

An all-time great. I'd love to see how well Iran's cared for them.

    And finally, Non-combat - U-2

But fox, the SR-71 is faster! Isn't that the theme you were going for:eek:?

Well sometimes you've got to take it slow (but not too slow or you'll stall or too fast or you'll break apart), and admire the scenery.

The SR-71 is a good choice too... they even decided to stop by Norway for a visit!

This one would be fun to fly because you are flying close to the ground, you are in the heat of battle, and you are directly helping your friends on the ground. Also the famous brrrrrrrrrrt.

When America retires them we should buy 20 of them. They are excellent for COIN operations.
