Kat's family owns a Mossberg 590. Gun ownership is highly restricted in Norway post 2011 Utoya Attacks, but firearms are still common in Norway with 1 out of every 3 people owning a firearm, good for being the 10th most heavily armed nation on Earth.

Firearm ownership for personal defence is limited, but for hunting is very commonplace. I know a family that owns a Sako TRG-42, a .338 sniper rifle which, believe it or not, is not only legal, but a popular seal hunting rifle.

One of Kat's family members is a police officer, hence the shotgun ownership.

    Kat doesn't like guns though.

Over the years the idea weapon at the time is the one you want. That aside, you would want a weapon you can carry full time. Reliability, of performance a proven record. The next question is AMMO. Created for the US Military and has both Double and Singal Action, Most do not know that many handguns do not have a threaded barrel something very important for a long shot, The ability to add attachments LIGHT, Scope, and much more. I would go with a 10-MM, SigSauer P226 weapon was created by SigSauer for the US MILITARY, as a result of a real NEED for a sidearm as the 1911 45-cal used during WWll was so effective. However, this SigSauer will do much more and is my recommendation for 24/7-carry in whatever the need in the field or at home.https://www.sigsauer.com/products/firearms/pistols/p226/

This is a good weapon and we would instruct the usage of a reload drill while holding on target. In others, words stay pointed on target and perform a one hand holding on target while the other hand reloads going under the receiver and shell into the receiver and then load three more loading into the magazine well under the receiver. As it teaches where to carry reloads. The next drill was a one-handed reload performed both left and right hand while using only one hand..
