    Introdution in Russian.

I don't know what is your first language, so I don't know what challenges there will be. If it is Tagalog - it will be easier that if it is English, but not much.

First of all you should learn Russian ABC. It's easy.

Then - download on your phone something like "Fun easy learn Russian. 6000 words" (there are version for native Tagalog speakers). Use it to learn words.
Download "Duolingo", it will be usefull for grammar.

Watch some Russian movies with English subtitles - it almost useless for learning language, but will help you with phonetic and cultural adaptation.
    For example here:

Or just type "Russian movies with English subtitles" in Google search.

After achieving some vocabulary - start to use it for netserfing in RuNet, especially torrents, libraries and social network - for example Vkontakte - there are much of usefull staff.
Then start to read books, watch movies with Russian subtitles and discuss in forums, social networks and in Skype.

Really, I'm against "stoping chasing Russian ghosts", becouse this chasing is useless, but also harmless activity. Some sort of masturbation for intellectual impotents. They can not find real spies, so they will play in the game "Who is responsible for our mistakes?"

I dont get what Russian have hacks. They cant change people minds or politics by hacking. But they can use media as a tool to influenced people a bit. Just look at @YarS I am soon joining Russia side :D
