As tensions on the Korean peninsula increase and the hilarity of Trump's tweets increase its fair to ask the question what defines a "Rogue State"?

We all know that North Korea, Iran, Syria, and Libya were labelled as rogue states but the question is why? Is it because they had nuclear and chemical weapons programs? If that is the case then isn't the U.S., Russia, Britain, France and other nuclear armed nations also rogue states? Those are all countries that have invaded other nations often times thousands of miles away from their own countries. The U.S. has actually used nuclear weapons, what gets more rogue than that. We also saw in the Jerusalem vote the U.S. was black mailing nations around the world, this time it came to light but is that the norm and is the U.S. the only country doing this? These questions should be answered before any state is labeled "Rogue"

In my opinion there is no such thing as a rogue state, there are only states that follow their interests and do whatever is possible to realize them and that includes labeling other states as "Rogue States"

Thats true its a label used to delegitimize other countries and their valid interests, people in the United States actively consume the "Rogue State" term. Terms like Crazy Kim or Rocket Man add to this.

And using of such terms is making US-policy rigid and ineffective.

"Rogue" in English usually have a meanings "non-standart" and "uncontrolled".
So, if USA (as they say) are uniqual state, and if they believe that they are not controlled by other states - USA is rogue state, too.
